Respecting the dignity of the human person is a shadow of that kind of respect to the Creator. Man is created in His image and likeness. Together with the breath of life, implantation of human dignity was one essential element in the creation of the human beings. Guarding every human person’s right is also a duty in the stewardship so entrusted by the Creator to man, It is both a right and an obligation which man has the need to enjoy as his prerogative.
As we safeguard for man’s dignity, let us be reminded that we have to tenaciously safeguard the society against the moral degradation caused by the Moral Evolutionists who believe that morality is never fixed or absolute. Many of these men who are now in a good number of our leaders uphold that morality is just continually changing and evolving gradually so that they think that bills like the ones (RHB) they are now presenting in the public are the best things the Filipino people can be well evolving with. For them these laws will bring the country to the glory of economic stability that combats against their mythical “overpopulation” but inwardly will only aid them in their lust for corruption since the bills will fetch a good amount of money from funding and taxes.
Thank you very much for your comment Mr. Palatulan. This is the beauty of having fundamental freedoms to express opinions, beliefs regardless of frontiers. I know both camps have their valid bases on the issue. Continuous discussions and consultations with all the stakeholders will surely enlighten both parties to settle on what is best for the country at this very given moment. Which, hopefully, will trailblaze all our beliefs towards the very essence of human rights, the respect, promotion and protection of the dignity of both men and women, young and old and in whatever condition.
